Geode Vitrine; a Performing Arts Center
Boston, MA, USA. Academic, 2010
A slender bar jutting from the Boston’s scenic North End waterfront, the Geode Vitrine Performing Arts Center houses concert hall and theater accompanied by dance and orchestra schools.
Confined within the slender rectangular footprint, the concert hall and theater programs appear as two suspended geodes, cleved at their centers by opposite sides. One side of the facade swells to accommodate the concert hall circulation, while the other is punctured by external semicircular circulation orbiting the theater.
